Occupation

People in professions that require them to be around food -- chefs, bakers, tasters, caterers, food critics, hotel, restaurant and sweet shop owners -- have been known to be associated with higher rates of obesity compared to others.

Very active professionals like dancers and sportspeople also tend to become victims of obesity as they move out of active professional life.

Night-shift and BPO workers too are prone to weight gain, owing to disrupted circadian rhythms and poor lifestyles.
