During the next two months, US universities and colleges will process student applications and send out acceptance letters. If you're an Indian aspirant, in wait with sweaty palms, it may feel like anxiety is eating your innards.

 

But, as you'll certainly learn over the next four years, the best approach on campus is the pro-active one: writing your prospective professors, researching your school's extracurricular clubs and finding a job on campus.

 

So, tell us!

Are you looking for potential roommates, study-buddies and friends? Are you seeking alternate funding, in the form of a third-party grant or scholarship? What else?

 

And for those who have already studied in the US, how did you prepare in the six months leading up to departure?


Did you network online and find friends before arriving? Did you review your on-campus employment options? And, given what you now know, what would you have done differently?
