While the ladies stress about their appearances and overall appeal, the guys stress about everything else -- because let's face it, when it comes to dating, the fairer sex seems to rule the roost.
How many times has a good-looking, funny, sensitive guy taken a girl out on a charming date, only to be handed his walking papers at the end of it?
"I like you, but not in that way."
"It's not you, it's me -- I'm not ready for a relationship."
Sigh. Next thing you know, she's riding pillion on a Harley Davidson with a bearded toughie who sports a tattoo of his mom on his arm.
Yup, the unfortunate truth is that girls don't crash and burn on dates half as often.
So is it any wonder that, err, our boys sometimes exaggerate to win the heart of a lady?
'I learned how to cook French food when I was vacationing on the Riviera.'
Translation: 'I've never been to the Riviera and you'll probably be served up takeout.'
'I'm the head of administration at my office.'
Translation: 'It's a one-man team and I'm in charge of maintenance.'
'I'm my own person, nobody can tell me what to do.'
Translation: 'Except my Ma, who will also tell you what to do!'
Now it's time to let the cat out of the bag -- we want to know what Indian men lie about on dates!
Is it their jobs, their families, their past relationships?
Have you ever been on a date where you/ your partner for the evening fibbed to make an impression?
How did the truth come out?
Tell us all about it! Simply post your experiences on the message board below.
