The Madras Management Association, in partnership with the Institute for Financial Management and Research, has launched a Postgraduate Certificate Programme in Business Management.

P K Mohapatra, president, MMA, said the PGCBM will be a one-year course with 360 class hours and will be conducted every Saturday. The curriculum will involve four modules.

R Kannan, director, IFMR, said the minimum prerequisite to join the business management programme will be a bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of experience. The candidates will have to pass the entrance exam as satisfying criteria to join the course.

The course fee will be Rs 60,000 and Rs 50,000 for corporate sponsoring individuals taking up PGCBM, Kannan added.

The programme offers joint certification by MMA and IFMR. Mohapatra said two different sessions of PGCBM will be conducted, one at IFMR and the other at the MMA facility. Each session will have 40 seats each.
