Make effective use of space

Using box grills for the windows or balconies simulates space and gives the impression of having a larger floor area. Stick to very basic designs for grills. Avoid fancy floral stuff.

Black is a good colour for grills as it blends in well.

If you go in for box grills, you might want to keep plants or hang a windchime -- this adds a nice touch to the bedroom.
