Till recently, actors Tamil actors Ajith, Vikram and Vijay were far ahead of Suriya. Now, the scene has changed.

Suriya's terrific performance in Vaaranam Aayiram catapulted him to a position on par with say, an actor like Vikram. With Vikram's recent films flopping miserably and none of them saw Vikram the actor, Suriya is in an unenviable position as an actor.

The year has so far only one blockbuster, and that is Ayan directed by K V Anand with Suriya in the lead. With the last films of both Ajith and Vijay flopping, Suriya is the current undisputed King of the box office in Tamil.

So, both as an actor and star, Suriya is the current number one in Tamil.

That is why Suriya's next release, Aadhavan is eagerly awaited.

However, it is not Jaggubhai that will release first but Aadhavan.

The music launch of Aadhavan was a grand affair with many dignitaries from the Tamil film industry attending it. Mohanlal who was supposed to be the chief guest could not attend as his flight from the US got delayed.

Harris Jayaraj has composed the music of Aadhavan.

Suriya became a star with Gautam Vasudev Menon's Kaakha Kaakha and its music by Harris Jayaraj was one of the reasons why the film succeeded.

In Ghajini, the film which made Suriya a super star, the music was by Harris Jayaraj and the songs rocked. The songs in Vaaranam Aayiram were also soulful and the film made Suriya a super actor.

So, whenever the two came together, the music was a sensation. But this time around, Harris Jayaraj has disappointed his fans.
