Hrithik was the first and only choice
Excel Entertainment have clarified that Hrithik Roshan was always the first and only choice for their film Lakshya. The director (Farhan Akhtar) and producer (Ritesh Sidhwani) are currently in U.S.A. and have denied rumours that Hrithik ousted Vivek Oberoi from Lakshya by reducing his remuneration.
"It's absolutely bizarre," Farhan's sister Zoya Akhtar tells me (speaking on behalf of Excel Entertainment), "Farhan always wanted Hrithik for the role in Lakshya and he signed him as soon as the script was ready.
