Does Bollywood prefer female directors?

Do male actors have problems taking orders from female directors? In Indian cinema, the answer would depend on whom you're asking.

Director Tanuja Chandra had sworn to make only female-oriented films because of actors' reported problems with female directors. But she changed her mind with Sur.
