Rajnikant takes the political plunge

Finally, superstar Rajnikanth has made his entry into the turbulent world of Tamil politics with his successful completion of a nine-hour fast in Chennai. The portraits of Mahatma Gandhi, Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar and Rajni’s guru Babaji were there in the background with the slogan “The Supreme Court verdict is the verdict of God”. Heroines get a raw deal

These days, in Tamil cinema, there is no guarantee that a heroine would work for the film till its end. Like TV serials, actresses get replaced half way through the film. Take the cases of Ice and Manasellam. The heroines of these films were discarded abruptly in the middle. The reason given was - the lack of 'cooperation' of these actresses.
