A game of Chess
Vidhu Vinod Chopra approaches chess master Vishwanathan Anand for his new project

His films have tried to stray from stereotypes. Be it Khamosh, Parinda, 1942 -- A Love Story or the recent Mission Kashmir.

Now, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's American project Chess is a dark thriller about mind games, in which Amitabh Bachchan is expected to play an important role.

Chopra has raised around $3 million for the film. Apparently, Columbia Tristar has already shown interest in producing his ambitious thriller.

The latest buzz is that Chopra has approached none other than chess Grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand to assist him during the making of the film. Evidently, it is so that the chess player can lend his expertise to the film.

Anand's wife Aruna confirmed recently that Chopra wants the star player to work on the technicalities of the game. Though the man in the question, Anand, is yet to make up his mind about accepting the proposal.
