A village is savaged by drought for 10 years. To appease Indra, the miffed God of Rain, it is decided that a yagna (sacrifice by fire) will be performed and Paravasu (Jackie Shroff) is appointed the mahapurohit (chief priest). Abandoning his family, he conducts the yagna for seven years. Agni Varsha, Arjun Sajnani's directorial debut, is based on Girish Karnad's play Fire In The Rain. The mythological film is set in the pre-Mahabharat era and shot entirely in Hampi (a World Heritage site in the Indian state of Karnataka). Next
