Arjun in Ghai’s next

Showman Subhash Ghai recently launched his new film starring Arjun Rampal with a song recording.

Titled Majnu, the film will be directed by Satish Kaushik with music by Anu Malik and the lyrics penned be Anand Bakshi.

Negotiations for the female lead are going on and talks are that Preity Zinta may bag the role.

Madhuri to cut an album

Marriage seems to have done a great deal of good for Madhuri Dixit. We hear she will soon be recording a music album to be released by the Rajshri’s.

The music will be composed by Bhavdeep Jaipurwale, who had also composed the music of the pop album Yeh Hai Prem.

Currently talks are on to finalise all details of the album that, say reports, should be recorded after the release of Sooraj Barjatya’s Hrithik, Kareena and Abhishek starrer, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon.

Dutt in a turban

He wore a dhoti in Pitaah. Now Sanjay will be seen in a turban as he is all set to play a Sikh in Raman Kumar’s forthcoming film Sarhad Paar.

Yet another patriotic saga, it is the story of a prisoner of war and the aftermath in his own country.

Nimbus Motion Pictures Sarhad Paar also stars Tabu, Mahima, Chandrachur and Rahul Dev and has written by Robin Bhatt and Akash Khurana.

Rishi in David Dhawan’s Yeh Hai Jalwa

Rishi Kapoor will soon be seen in a David Dhawan film, ten years after he appeared in Dhawan’s Bol Radha Bol with Juhi Chawla.

Titled Yeh Hai Jalwa, it is about a millionaire who is suddenly faced with a grown-up illegitimate son. The film also stars Salman Khan, Amisha Patel and Rati Agnihotri.
