Lagaan invited to 15 film festivals

Lagaan -- Hindi cinema's highest-earning film has been invited by over a dozen film festivals worldwide, director Ashutosh Gowarikar said.

Lagaan will feature at the prestigious Toronto film festival on September 8. The film has also been invited to screen at 15 film festivals.

Manoj takes to the stage

Manoj Bajpai Actor Manoj Bajpai is keen on doing theatre with ace theatre director Barry John.

Manoj said that John had nearly 500 scripts ready for him.

Madhuri, Mamootty for English film

Madhuri Southern superstar Mammootty has signed an English film with Madhuri Dixit, to be directed by Rajiv Anchal.

The film -- Beyond The Soul revolves around three musically-inclined children. Shooting is expected to commence soon.

Pati, Patni Aur Mein in Pakistan?

Shatrughan Sinha who acts in the Hindi stage production Pati, Patni Aur Mein has been invited to Pakistan.

The play is popular as viewers empathise with the theme of play as it reflected the universal experiences of every household.

The actor said he had to unlearn much of his screen training for the role. The two-act comedy written by Manohar Katdhare is directed by Ramesh Talwar and produced by Sanjay Goradia.
