Shararat for post Diwali release

Gurudev Bhallaīs Shararat, starring Abhishek Bachchan will finally see the light of day. The film was originally to open on July 12. But Amitabh Bachchan, who was not completely satisfied with son Abhishek's performance, asked Bhalla to re-shoot and re-dub some portions of the film.

Then came distributor issues. The low budgeted film had already exceeded its budget, and Abhishek Bachchan debacle with Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai didn't help matters.

However, it has now been confirmed that Eros Entertainment will release the film. Eros Entertainment who are focusing on the release of Indian, Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar will release Shararat in November, post Diwali.

Malaysia to learn from Bollywood

Malaysia is eager to learn from the success of the Indian film industry.

A 20-member delegation, comprising Malaysian drama and film producers, left for India on October 4, 2001 for a five-day working visit.

Malaysian Information Minister Khalil Yaakob, who leads this delegation, said that they would be visiting studios and shooting locations in Madras, Hyderabad and Bombay.

Khalil is also scheduled to meet the Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra and members of the South Indian Film Artistes Association, the Film Industry Academy of Bombay and Tamil Film Producers' Council.

He will also visit the A R Rahman recording studio and Film and Studio City in Madras and Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

Ajnabee's DVD release

Although Ajnabee has been doing decent business since its opening at the marquee, it has already been released on DVD, a week after its release.

The DVD also includes coming attractions and interviews with Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu.

Mohabbatein and Mission Kashmir do 50 weeks!

Mohabbatein and Mission Kashmir have completed their 50 week run.

To reel in the audiences to the theatres, the producers are offering a double cassette pack of the film's dialogue and songs to viewers of Mohabbatein.
