NEWS President unveils agenda for the next millennium Addressing the first session of both houses of Parliament, K R Narayanan said the government is committed to safeguarding the interests of the scheduled castes and tribes, backward classes and minorities through appropriate legal and societal efforts. NEWS Text of the President's address 'We remain firmly committed to global nuclear disarmament on a universal and non-discriminatory basis.
