Stalin to be minister for the first time

Arcot N Veerasamy would be the Electricity and Rural Industries Minister, a Raj Bhavan press release. M K Stalin, son of Karunanidhi, would be the Rural Development and Local Administration Minister.

Chief Minister-designate M Karunanidhi would hold Home, Police, Industries, Information Technology, Excise and minority welfare portfolios in the new 31-member Tamil Nadu ministry to be sworn in by Governor Surjit Singh Barnala on Saturday.

Announcing the portfolios of the ministers-designate, the press release said Dravida Munnethra Kazhagam General Secretary K Anbazhagan would be the new Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister.
