May 05, 2006 22:24 IST
The Dravida Munnethra Kazhagam on Friday said that it would quit United Progressive Alliance if Marumalarchi Dravida Munnethra Kazhagam continued in the coalition at the Centre. "If he (Vaiko) is there in UPA, we will not be there. If he is there the DMK will not be there," DMK President M Karunanidhi told CNN-IBN.
Asked whether Vaiko continued in the UPA or not, Karunanidhi said, "I do not know. He has been attacking the UPA government also.
"He cannot be there." To a question whether he would form a coalition government in the state with the Congress, Karunanidhi said, "If the situation arises why not. Do not we have a coalition government in Delhi."
Asked whether it would be healthy for the state, he said "why not, is it not healthy in Delhi".
