Raman Singh takes over as new Chhattisgarh CM

Raman Singh on Sunday took over as the new Chhattisgarh Chief Minister.
The 51-year old Ayurveda doctor and state Bharatiya Janata Party chief, a dark horse in the race for the top post, was the only one to take the oath of office administered by Governor K M Seth at an impressive function at the police parade ground.
Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani, BJP chief M Venkaiah Naidu, general Ssecretary Pramod Mahajan, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and a host of Union ministers, including Rajnath Singh and Sushma Swaraj attended the ceremony.
