Mufti elected PDP legislature party leader

Chief minister-designate Mufti Mohammed Sayeed was on Tuesday unanimously elected leader of the PDP legislature party in Jammu and Kashmir.

He will meet Governor Girish Chandra Saxena and stake claim to form a PDP-led coalition government on Wednesday.

J&K Pradesh Congress Committee president Ghulam Nabi Azad will arrive in Srinagar on Wednesday and is expected to accompany the Mufti to the Raj Bhavan.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place on November 2 at 1315 IST.
