Repoll ordered in 5 polling stations

Election 2002 The Election Commission on Saturday ordered a repoll in four stations of Pahalgam constituency in south Kashmir's Anantnag district and one in the Kathua constituency in Jammu region.

The decision was taken after some candidates complained of malpractices, which were verified by returning officers in the two constituencies that went to the polls on October 1 in the third phase of election.

The repoll will take place at two polling stations in Baktoot and one each in Hadrukuthal-Sofiapora and Wullerhama in Pahalgam and one in Taraf Sanji in Kathua.

The repoll is scheduled for October 8 from 0700 to 1600 IST, when the six constituencies of Doda district and Lolab in Kupwara district go to the polls.
