J Jayalalithaa will be elected leader of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam legislature party at a meeting of legislators in the party headquarters at 1400 (IST), according to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam.
He made this announcement during an informal chat with newsmen at the party headquarters.
He also cut a 54 kg cake to mark the 54th birthday celebrations of Jayalalithaa.
