All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief J Jayalalithaa was leading by 4140 votes at the end of the first round of counting at Andipatti assembly constituency on Sunday.
She polled 5748 votes against her immediate rival Vagai Sekar of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, who polled 1608 when reports last came in, official sources said.
