Six or eight men arrived at the venue in a couple of Tata Sumos and started firing indiscriminately.
One person identified as Rajesh suffered three bullet injuries. He was declared dead when he was brought to hospital.
Jinkho Singh suffered a minor injury in the arm. Speaking to rediff.com, the RKD candidate alleged that the attack was carried out by Samajwadi Party workers who meant to kill him.
