Gujarat a jilt for pseudo-secularists, says BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party's big win in Gujarat is a victory for nationalist forces and a jilt to pseudo-secularists, BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu said in New Delhi.

Referring to the party's electoral show in the by-election in the Congress-ruled Rajasthan, he said, "It heralds a new trend in the country."

He said though the Congress tried its best to capture power in Gujarat by citing examples of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, where it is in power, the voters did not buy it.
