EC orders repoll in 184 booths

The Election Commission today ordered a repoll tomorrow in 184 polling stations, including 111 in Andhra Pradesh and 40 in Karnataka, where polling was marred by violence and other malpractices in yesterday's first phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

The 184 polling booths are spread over 82 assembly segments in six states. In Andhra Pradesh, where six people were killed in poll violence, repoll was ordered in 111 polling stations in 45 assembly segments.

In Karnataka, repoll has been ordered in 40 booths in 15 assembly segments, followed by Rajasthan 23 (14 assembly segments), Haryana five (four segments), Gujarat four (three segments) and one in Punjab.
