Markets upbeat, Sensex crosses 5,000 mark

The markets are cheering every additional seat that the National Democratic Alliance gets.

The Sensex has entered into a new orbit crossing the 5,000 mark and is currently at 5,070 levels. In the NSE the fifty-share Nifty has touched a new all-time high of 1500 levels and is currently at the same levels. Pivotals like L&T, Telco, Tisco are back in the limelight, up more than 4 to 5 per cent till mid session of trading.

The news of Moody's upgrading India's outlook from stable to positive for India's Ba2 ratings on foreign and commercial debt improved the sentiments significantly with talks of the index touching 6,000.
