The Eden Gardens went into raptures when India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni called upon Sachin Tendulkar to bowl the final over of the post-lunch session, on Day 1 of the first Test against the West Indies in Kolkata, on Wednesday.

And he delivered, scalping the wicket of Shane Shillingford with the last ball of the session.
Shillingford came forward to defend but was beaten by the quicker delivery, which skidded straight on and trapped him leg before wicket for five from 39 balls.
Tendulkar took just four deliveries to claim his first wicket. He started the over with a leg break, then sent down a googly, which was way down the leg and went for four byes, before bowling another leg spinner.
Interestingly, Tendulkar's last wicket before this match was against South Africa in January 2011 and he scored a century in that match too.
Also in attendance at the Eden Gardens was Tendulkar's wife Anjali, who seemed to enjoy the proceedings.
