Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs in the final and won the Indian Premier League for the first time on Sunday night.
Soon after the dust had settled down on the sixth edition of the cash-rich Twenty20 tournament, batting icon Sachin Tendulkar announced that the tournament was his last and he will not be playing in the next edition.
"I think this is the right time to stop playing IPL. Just got to accept the reality that this would be my last season. I am happy that the setting was perfect," the maestro added.
