Siddharth Trivedi is one of the most consistent players for Rajasthan Royals. Without doubt, he was the top performer of the day in Monday's IPL match against Kolkata Knight Riders, in Jaipur.
The Gujarat seamer, who is with the franchise from the very beginning, is perhaps one of the most under-rated bowlers in IPL history.

He was part of Rajasthan Royals' winning team in the first edition of the IPL in 2008. In fact, it was his spell that changed the course of a crucial match in that edition. He got the important wickets of Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath Jayasuriya as Rajasthan beat Mumbai by five wickets.
On Monday, Trivedi was introduced in the seventh over of the Kolkata innings and he made an immediate impact, dismissing the dangerous Manoj Tiwary for 14.

Four balls later he had KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir walking back to the pavilion, the batsman brilliantly caught behind by wicketkeeper Yagnik for 22.

Trivedi made full use of the green top at the Sawai Mansingh stadium, which allowed him to experiment.
He rounded off his spell with the wicket of Laxmi Ratan Shukla, finishing with figures of 3-23 from his four overs.
He and Kevon Cooper stifled the KKR batsmen, making scoring difficult. Kolkata were eventually bundled out for 125, chasing 145 for victory.
