Thisara Perera Perera (23 not out) hit three sixes off five balls to hand Sunrisers Hyderabad yet another victory in the Indian Premier League.

Sunrisers first restricted Kings XI Punjab to 123 for 9 and then rode on Hanuma Vihari's 46 and Perera's 11-ball unbeaten 23 to finish on 127 in 18.5 overs, and win by five wickets.

Earlier on Friday, Kings XI won the toss and elected to bat first in Uppal.

Hanuma Vihari and Akshath Reddy combined well for Hyderabad after the loss of an early wicket.

Reddy's 17-ball knock included two boundaries; he put on 48 runs for the second wicket with Vihari.

Vihari (46) continued his onslaught, but Piyush Chawla struck in his third over; he had Vihari caught by David Hussey at short cover.
