Pune Warriors skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and elected to field. The visitors made three changes to their team with Rahul Sharma, Abhishek Nayar and Kane Richardson coming in for Ali Murtaza, Ishwar Pandey and Mitchell Marsh respectively.
Ashok Dinda struck in his first over. The pacer bagged the wicket of Mahela Jayawardene, who made just 12 runs.

Left-arm seamer Irfan Pathan brought Delhi back into the contest as he claimed the wicket of both Pune openers in his third over.
Uthappa was caught on the fine leg fence by Unmukt Chand, while Finch was unlucky to be given caught down the leg side as the ball hit his thigh pads before being caught by wicketkeeper Jadhav.

It is the second largest cricket stadium in India with a seating capacity of 50,000.
It will host two IPL matches this season with Delhi Daredevils playing Kolkata Knight Riders in the other game on May 1.
