Talented speedster Umesh Yadav is fully fit and raring to go for his IPL side Delhi Daredevils in the upcoming fifth edition of the tournament.

"The short break has done a world of good for me. I am completely fit and available for selection from the first match. I am working on a few variations in my bowling and you might just find me unleashing a new weapon," Yadav said.

"I am working on a particular delivery but I will use it only if I'm hundred per cent confident in a match-situation," he added.

Asked about how he felt while bowling for Central Zone in the two Deodhar Trophy matches, he said, "There is nothing better than playing matches and the two matches in Deodhar Trophy proved to be useful as it helped me get back into the groove. My rhythm was good and I didn't feel any discomfort while bowling."

The 24-year-old didn't bowl at the training session but was seen discussing a few things with former India bowling coach and current Daredevils chief coach Eric Simons.

"Eric sir is among those who have helped me improve as a bowler. I keep interacting with former India bowling coach Subrata Banerjee who tells me about subtle aspects apart from Usman Ghani and former Vidarbha skipper Pritam Gandhe," Yadav said.

A lot of pacers are seen cutting down on pace once they come back from a hiatus but Yadav makes it clear that there would be no compromise as far as pace is concerned.

"I have never ever thought about cutting down on pace. Yes, getting into a good rhythm is important and for that you need to train hard.

"Once the rhythm is good, you can generate a lot of pace. My break was more about cutting down on niggles having constantly played for the past few months," he stated.
