Royal Challengers Bangalore rode on a brilliant 29-ball 68 from Yuvraj Singh to thrash Delhi Daredevils by 16 runs in the IPL match in Bangalore on Tuesday night.
Thanks to Yuvi's knock, RCB posted a healthy 186-4.
The Delhi innings never got going, before JP Duminy provided some hope with lusty blows.
Kedar Jhadav too tried his best with 20-ball 37, but in the end it was far too much to ask from Delhi lower order batsmen as they finished with 170-7.
Muttiah Muralitharan and Mithchell Starc were Bangalore's most successful bowlers with figures of 2-25 and 2-26 respectively.

Royal Challengers were off to a decent chase after being put in to bat first.
Chris Gayle started off on a sedate start before exploding, showing glimpses of his form.
He first hit Mohammad Shami into the stands, then latched on to JP Duminy’s off-spin with a six and four.
However, Rahul Shukla provided the opening breakthrough, dismissing the West Indian for 22.
Gayle, looking to chip down the track, was castled by Shulka.

Virat Kohli, who had been struggling for form, was the next to make the long walk back after he was run-out for 10.
Kohli, who got an inside edge off Imran Tahir, turned for a second, but a rocket throw from Shukla found the RCB skipper short of his crease.
Parthiv Patel opened up after Gayle’s dismissal and looked good for more, before he was snapped by Mohammad Shami for 29.

AB de Villiers failed to fire, but during his short stay he took on Siddarth Kaul.
Kaul was at the receiving end as AB hit him for a six and a couple of boundaries.
However, the bowler had the last laugh as he castled de Villiers for 33.
Yuvraj took on from there and smashed the Delhi bowlers to all corners.
He first hit three consecutive sixes off Tahir, and then tore into Rahul Shukla, smashing four sixes off the final over, which also brought up his half-century in 24 balls.
Yuvraj’s 29-ball included one boundary and nine sixes.

Vijay, looking to play one across the line, was adjudged LBW.
Starc then had Quinton de Kock walking back after the batsman dragged one back on to the stumps for 6 in the second over.

Skipper Kevin Pietersen and Mayan Agarwal did their best and steadied the ship somewhat with a crucial 63-run stand.
Agarwal started off in prime fashion lofting Murali over his head for a maximum.
Pietersen the latched onto Yuvraj and smashed him over deep mid-wicket for a maximum.
But Agarwal lost his patience and threw his wicket away to Abu Nechim for 31.
KP followed soon in search of some quick runs as he was stumped by Parthiv Patel for 33.

JP Duminy, the man in form for Delhi, took on leg-spinner Chahal, smashing him for two sixes.
He and Jhadav latched onto Abu Nechim in his third over.
But Starc ensured that Delhi did not do a Rajasthan Royals as he castled Duminy for 48.
Jhadav was run-out in the final over, but, by then, RCB had sealed the game.
