India's batting great Rahul Dravid was conferred the Padma Bhushan by President Pranab Mukherjee at a civil investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday.

The former India captain scored more than 24,000 international runs, over 13,000 in 164 Tests, and nearly 11,000 in 344 ODIs, before announcing his retirement early last year,

The 40-year-old Karnataka batsman has 36 Test centuries and 12 from the shorter version of the game to his name.

Along with Dravid, Olympic bronze medallist MC Mary Kom was named for the country's third highest civilian award.

Boxer Dingko Singh conferred Padma Shree

Dingko Singh, a gold medalist at the Bangkok Asian Games 1998, was conferred the Padma Shri.

Mary Kom had credited her interest in boxing to the exploits of Dinko, who also hails from Manipur.

108 personalities received the country's highest civilian awards

One hundred and eight personalities received the country's highest civilian awards, comprising four Padma Vibhushan, 24 Padma Bhushan and 80 Padma Shri.

Twenty-four of the awardees were women.

The list also included 11 people in the category of foreigners, NRIs, PIOs and posthumous awardees.
