Shikhar Dhawan continued his golden run as he smashed another half-century to steer Sunrisers Hyderabad to a crushing seven-wicket victory over Faisalabad Wolves in the Qualifier 4 match of the Champions League T20 in Mohali, on Wednesday.
Hyderabad registered their second straight victory in the qualifying round to advance to the main round of the tournament, while Faisalabad were knocked out.

Leg spinner Amit Mishra bowled an excellent spell of one for 13 in four overs including a maiden to restrict Faisalabad to a modest 127 for five. In reply, Dhawan's 50-ball 59 helped Hyderabad cruise to 131 for three in 17.3 overs.
Faisalabad lose way after good start

Faisalabad made a good start as openers Ammar Mahmood and Ali Waqas put on 48 runs for the opening wicket in 7.2 overs after they were put into bat before they lost a few quick wickets.
Leg spinner Karan Sharma struck in his very first over when he trapped Asif Ali leg before wicket for a duck.
Misbah's fifty rallies Faisalabad

Captain Misbah-ul-Haq led from the front with a gritty half-century to rally Faisalabad.
He slammed 56 from 40 balls with the help of five sixes and a boundary that took his team to 127 for five in their 20 overs.
Dhawan, Parthiv give Hyderabad flying start

The left-handed opening duo of Shikhar Dhawan and Parthiv Patel once again gave Sunrisers Hyderabad a flying start.
Dhawan smashed Samiullah Khan for back to back boundaries and Parthiv slammed him over midwicket for another four. The two batsman hit a boundary each off Saeed Ajmal in the next over as Hyderabad raced to 51 for no loss after six overs.

Parthiv hit a brisk 23 from 21 balls before he pulled a short ball from Ehsan Adil to the fielder at midwicket.
He put on 68 runs in 8.5 overs for the opening wicket with Dhawan to put Hyderabad in charge.

Dhawan continued his recent golden run with another half-century.
He slogged Imran Khalid over midwicket to bring up his fifty in some style from 48 balls before hitting the next ball all the way for a six.
However, he was dismissed off the very next ball as he inside edged it back on to his stumps to be bowled for 59.
Khalid also picked up the wicket of Biplab Samantray for a duck in that over.
However, Darren Sammy smashed Asad Ali for three fours in a row to take Hyderabad to an easy seven-wicket victory with 15 balls to spare.
