Streak, Blignaut rally Zimbabwe

Heath Streak and Andy Blignaut rescued Zimbabwe with defiant half centuries on the first day of the second Test against South Africa on Friday.

Zimbabwe had slumped to 115 for seven before Streak (82) and Blignaut (52) added 76 for the eighth wicket.

Streak and Graeme Cremer (12) then put on 73 for the ninth to push Zimbabwe to 269 all out just before stumps.

South Africa were 13 without loss at close.

All-rounder Jacques Kallis took four wickets for 33.
