April 06, 2006 18:19 IST

Zee Telefilms Limited has won the global media rights to telecast India's overseas cricket series at neutral venues.

Zee had made a bid of US $219.15 million for five years -- from April 1, 2006 to March 31, 2011 -- during which they will telecast a minimum of 25 matches.

Meanwhile, Real estate developer DLF Universal Ltd. has been named title sponsor for the two one-day internationals between India and Pakistan at Abu Dhabi on April 18 and 19.

"We are proud to announce our title sponsor, DLF, for the India-Pakistan one day series to be played in Abu Dhabi. The event will be known as the DLF Cup," said Sanjay Lal, MD and

CEO of Percept D'Mark International, the company that acquired all ground rights for the series.

In a statement, DLF said: "Significant proceeds from the match would go towards helping the lives of people affected by the earthquake in the Jammu and Kashmir region."
