Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan on Friday called for a quick resolution to his appeal against the indefinite ban imposed on him by the PCB.
Younis and his lawyer Ahmed Qayyum appeared on Friday before the appeals judge Irfan Qadir at the National Cricket Academy at the first hearing of the appeals of six cricketers who were, in March, banned or fined by the board for indiscipline.
"Younis told Justice Irfan Qadir that he wanted his ban revoked and asked for the appeals judge to direct the board to provide all the evidence on the basis of which he was banned," Qayyum said.
"We have also filed an application with the appeals judge that the hearing of Younis Khan's appeal be held publicly so that everyone knows the truth about the allegations made against my client," Qayyum said.
Qayyum said Judge Irfan Qadir directed the legal advisor for the board Talib Rizvi to provide all documentary, video and audio evidence to Younis on the basis of which he was accused of creating problems within the team.
The legal representatives of Shoaib Malik and Rana Naved also appeared before Justice Irfan Qadir and asked for time to prepare their case.
They also asked the judge to ask the board to provide all details of charges against their clients.
The appeals judge has now set May 8 as the next date of hearing for Younis's case and May 22 to hear the appeals of Shoaib and Rana Naved.
The appeals judge will hold another hearing on May 29 for the appeals of Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal.
The board had banned Younis and Mohammad Yousuf indefinitely and imposed 12-month bans and fines of Rs 2 million each on Malik and Rana besides imposing fines of Rs 3million on Afridi, Kamran and Umar.
