# India recorded the fifth highest total in the World Cup -- their third highest, next only to the 413 for five against Bermuda at Port of Spain on March 19, 2007 and 373 for six against Sri Lanka at Taunton on May 26, 1999.

# Bangladesh's total of 283 for nine is their highest in the World Cup, eclipsing the 251 for eight against South Africa at Providence on April 7, 2007.

# Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, with their 69-run first wicket stand, established an Indian record for the first wicket against Bangladesh in the World Cup.

# Sehwag is the first player to register an innings of 150 or more in Bangladesh in ODIs. He has surpassed Sachin Tendulkar's 141 for India against Australia at Dhaka on October 28, 1998.

# Sehwag has posted five sixes in an innings for the first time in a World Cup fixture. # In the course of his 175, Sehwag completed his 500 runs against Bangladesh, amassing 503 in 12 innings at an average of 41.91, including one century and three fifties.

# India posted their first win over Bangladesh in two World Cup matches.

# Tamim Iqbal (70 off 86 balls) registered his highest innings against India, eclipsing the 60 off 42 balls at Mirpur on January 7, 2010.

# Tamim's 17th fifty in ODIs is his fourth against India. His 70 is his highest innings in the World Cup, surpassing the 51 off 53 balls against India at Port of Spain on March 17, 2007. These two knocks are his only half- centuries in the World Cup.

# Shakib Al Hasan (55 off 50 balls) has recorded his fourth fifty against India -- his 18th in ODIs.

# Shakib has recorded two fifties against India and one against England in the world cup -- his best ever is 57 not out against England at Bridgetown on April 11, 2007.

# Munaf Patel (4/48) has produced his best World Cup performance, surpassing the 2 for 39 against Bangladesh at Port of Spain on March 17, 2007.

# Munaf has become the first Indian bowler to bag four wickets in an innings against Bangladesh in the World Cup. His superb figures of 4 for 48 are his second best in ODIs -- the best being 4 for 29 against South Africa at Johannesburg on January 15, 2011.
