Stats: Mukund records highest Test innings

Statistical highlights at the end of the fourth day's play in the second cricket Test between India and the West Indies played in Bridgetown, Barbados on Friday.

# VVS Laxman (72 not out) has recorded his 51st half-century in Tests -- his ninth against the West Indies.

# Laxman is averaging 53.72 against the West Indies   1343 runs in 18 Tests.  His tally includes three centuries.

# Laxman has maintained his excellent record while batting in the third innings of a Test match, totalling 2269 in 49 innings, averaging 58.17  He has registered four centuries and 15 fifties.

# Under Dhoni's captaincy, Laxman is averaging 49.83 --1545 runs in 37 innings, including two hundreds and 14 fifties.

# Virat Kohli (26 not out) has posted his highest innings in Tests, outstripping the 15 at Kingston in June 2011.

# Laxman and Kohli were associated in a partnership of 75 (unbroken) for the fourth wicket --India's highest against West Indies at Bridgetown, surpassing the 53 between Sunil Gavaskar and Jaisimha in April 1971.

# Abhinav Mukund (48 off 81 balls) has recorded his highest Test innings, surpassing the 25 at Kingston in the present series.

# Laxman (85 & 72 not out) has become the second Indian batsman to record 50 or more in each innings of a Test match at Bridgetown. Mohinder Amarnath had registered 91 & 80 in the 1982 --83 Bridgetown Test.

# Laxman is now the fourth Indian player to post two innings of 50-plus in a Test match three times in the West Indies, joining Polly Umrigar, Sunil Gavaskar and Mohinder Amarnath.

# Rahul Dravid (55) has recorded his second highest innings at Bridgetown -- the highest being 78 in March 1997.

# Dravid's knock is his 11th fifty against the West Indies.

# Dravid is the first player to complete 200 runs in the present series, totalling 212 (ave.53.00), including one hundred and one fifty.

# Dravid (6996 at an average of 53.81 in 85 Tests) needs just four runs to complete his 7,000 runs overseas.

# Dravid now holds an Indian record with his 60th fifty, eclipsing Sachin Tendulkar's tally of 59 fifties.

# Dravid is the second batsman to post 60 fifties in Tests, joining Allan Border (63).
