Mumbai Indians' match against Rising Pune Supergiants at the Maharashtra Cricket Stadium in Pune saw an unprecedented incident when two MI players were involved in a heated exchange of words.

Tempers flared in the 11th over of Pune innings when Rayudu failed to stop a boundary despite putting a splendid dive near the boundary rope.

A dejected Harbhajan could be seen abusing at his MI teammate. An angry Rayudu gave it back to Harbhajan. Soon, both the players started to walk towards each other.

As the situation turned delicate with both players coming eye to eye, Harbhajan showed maturity to calm his teammate.

However in Harbhajan's next over, the duo could be seen patching up with each other after the wicket of Supergiants batsman Peter Handscomb.

This is not the first time, Harbhajan is involved in a heated altercation in the Indian Premier League.

In 2008 IPL, the off-spinner had slapped pacer S Sreesanth after Mumbai Indians’ defeat against Kings XI Punjab.

The off-spinner was also involved in a major controversy 'Monkeygate Scandal', which involved Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds during India's 2007-08 series Down Under.
