T20 World Cup celebrated with a doodle!

As the T20 World Cup is all set to go underway, the search engine giant celebrates it with a doodle

Google doodleTaking cricket crazy India by surprise, Google has dedicated its doodle to mark the start of the 2016 edition of ICC T20 World Cup. 

The doodle gives us an amazing bird's-eye view of a cricket stadium with players standing on the playing field and the audience cheering them.

big banner of GOOGLE can be seen in the background. When you click on the doodle, it directs you to the search page showing the match schedule and other information related to T20 world Cup. 

The ICC World Twenty20 2016 will be staged across eight venues in India from March 8 to April 3. 

A total of 58 tournament matches, including 35 men’s and 23 women’s, will be played in the 27-day tournament in Bengaluru, Chennai, Dharamsala, Kolkata, Mohali, Mumbai, Nagpur and New Delhi. 

New Delhi and Mumbai will host the semi-finals on March 30 and 31 respectively, while Eden Gardens in Kolkata will be the venue for April 3 finals. 

It is the sixth edition of the ICC World Twenty20 and the first to be hosted by the country.
