Warner's 29-ball 67 comprised five hits to the fence and seven huge ones over it.
His opening partner, Shane Watson, wasn't far behind either, contributing an effortless 33-ball 62. Watson hit four boundaries and four sixes apiece and remained unbeaten.
The duo put 99 in just 46 balls to ensure a favourable result for Australia.
Earlier, an unbeaten 40-run stand for the eighth wicket between Narsingh Deonarine (36) and Darren Sammy (26) helped West Indies recover from 98 for seven and post a respectable 137 for seven in their stipulated 20 overs.
Travis Dowlin's 31 was the only other contribution of note during the Caribbean innings.
