Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim hit a defiant 81 not out to take his team to 322 for six at stumps on Day 3 of the one-off Test against India, in Hyderabad, on Saturday.
The visitors fought back against India through half centuries from Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehedi Hasan.

104 Number of overs Bangladesh have batted so far - only the second time they have batted for more than 100 overs in an innings against India. The only other instance was in their inaugural Test at Dhaka in 2000-01 when Bangladesh batted for 153.3 overs, scoring 400.
2124 Runs added by Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim as a pair. Only one pair has got more runs than this pair for Bangladesh – Imrul Kayes and Tamim Iqbal (2275 runs).
81* Mushfiqur Rahim’s innings is the highest by a Bangladesh captain against India. In fact Mushfiqur is the first Bangladesh captain to score a fifty against India! The previous highest score by a Bangladesh captain against India was 37 by Habibul Bashar at Chittagong in 2007.
4 Number of Bangladesh batsmen to aggregate 3,000 runs in Test cricket. Mushfiqur Rahim joined the ranks with Habibul Bashar, Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan.
19 years 109 days Mehedi Hasan’s age at the time of scoring his maiden Test fifty- youngest Bangladesh batsman to score a fifty against India. The previous record was held by Nafees Iqbal, who made a fifty at the age of 19 years 316 days (at Dhaka in 2004-05).
2.50 Mehedi Hasan’s batting average in Test cricket before today. In 8 innings he had aggregated only 20 runs with a highest of 10.
3 Number of batsmen who scored fifty in Bangladesh innings - Shakib Al Hasan (82), Mushfiqur Rahim (81*) and Mehedi Hasan (51*). This is the first such instance for Bangladesh against India.
4 Number of consecutive series in which opposition opening batsman has been run-out against India. West Indies’ Leon Johnson in the third Test at Gros Islet, New Zealand’s Martin Guptill in the third Test at Indore and England’s Haseeb Hameed in the second Test at Visakhapatnam were the others to suffer this fate before Tamim Iqbal.
5 Number of wickets Indian team managed on the third day – the fewest they have taken in a full day’s play against Bangladesh. The previous record was six on the opening day of the first ever Test between these two teams (at Dhaka in 2000-01).
