Australia's Aaron Finch hammered 156 off just 63 balls against England to set a new world record for the highest individual innings in Twenty20 internationals, at Southampton, on Thursday.
He bettered the previous record of 123, by New Zealand's Brendon McCullum against Bangladesh, at Pallekele, last year.
Finch's century is only the 10th in all T20 internationals, the first by an Australian and first by any batsman in England.
His innings is also the third highest in all T20 cricket, the top two innings coming in the Indian Premier League.
He was on course to break the record for the fastest T20 international century before eventually reaching his hundred from 47 balls, two more than South Africa's Richard Levi, who holds the record.
Remarkably, Finch got off the mark, reached his 50, hundred and 150, with sixes!
