An unbeaten double century by Naman Ojha put India ‘A’ in a command against Australia ‘A’ on Day 2 of their four-day match in Brisbane, on Monday.
At stumps, Australia ‘A’, replying to the Indians’ 475-9 declared, were 126 for 6.
The tourists resumed Day 2 on 304 for 6 and immediately started amassing the runs.
Ojha, unbeaten on 83 at stumps on the opening day, brought up his century with a six.
His brisk 99-run partnership with Dhawal Kulkarni (overnight 12 not out) ended when the latter holed out for 33, off the bowling of Cameron Boyce 146-6 off 30 overs.

Boyce struck again in his next over, dismissing Umesh Yadav for a duck.
Moises Henriques (1-30 off 19 overs) followed up shortly, with his first wicket of the match as Pragyan Ojha (4) edged the ball to Sam Whiteman.
However, Ojha’s impressive innings continued and he reached the 200-run milestone with another big six off the last ball of the first session, seeing India ‘A’ to lunch at 450 for 9.

The tourists put on another 25 runs after the break before declaring at 475-9.
Ojha finished with 219 not out (from 250 balls, his highest first-class score) while Jasprit Bumrah was also unbeaten, on 7.
In reply, the Australians’ top order had a shaky start.
Alex Doolan went early for 12, thanks to a sharp catch by Lokesh Rahul off the bowling of Bumrah, as Australia ‘A’ went to tea at 51 for 1.

They then lost five wickets in the day’s last session, with Peter Forrest (16), Phillip Hughes (34), captain James Faulkner (1), Henriques (4) and Chris Lynn (20) all departing in quick succession.
Bumrah was the pick of the India ‘A’ bowlers, finishing the day with figures of 3 for 42.
At the close of play, Mitchell Marsh (batting 18) and Sam Whiteman (batting 13) were at the crease.
