Shah, Tiwary switch to KKR for IPL3

January 07, 2010 09:48 IST

England batsman Owais Shah and Bengal batsman Manoj Tiwary will play in black and gold after a move to the Kolkata Knight Riders for the third edition of the Indian Premier League competition.

Middlesex player Shah, signed by Daredevils for 185,000 pounds at the auction last year, will make the switch to the Knight Riders along with Tiwary.

Shah was an unused member of the Delhi Daredevils squad for last year's event, but later featured for the team in the Champions League Twenty20 tournament.

His move was one of only three to take place in the transfer window created to allow trading between teams prior to the next IPL auction, which takes place on January 19, The Sun reports.

Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques, who played for New South Wales in the Champions League, moves in the opposite direction from Kolkata to Delhi.

A total of 96 players have registered for the 2010 IPL auction including Usman Afzaal, Tim Bresnan, James Foster, Anthony McGrath, Eoin Morgan, Monty Panesar, Adil Rashid and Jonathan Trott.
