Swashbuckling West Indies batsman Chris Gayle has continued to poke fun at his controversial Big Bash League interview with TV reporter by repeating his infamous 'don't blush' line on former Australian player and pundit Tom Moody in the Pakistan Super League.
The mockery took place before Gayle took the field for his side, the Lahore Qalandars against Peshawar Zalmi when Moody approached him for an interview.
When Moody wished him luck, Gayle asked the former to cheer up and not to blush.
“Cheers Tom. Don’t blush, Tom,” Gayle said after an interview with former Australia player Moody before cracking into a laugh.
Gayle was earlier fined US$7500 for making inappropriate comments to Network Ten journalist Mel McLaughlin during his side Melbourne Renegades's victory over the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League.
When McLaughlin asked him about his innings, the left-hander steered the conversation away from cricket and said that he batted well because he just wanted to have an interview with her.
Gayle did not stop there and said that her (reporter's) eyes were very beautiful and asked her out for drinks after the game, adding that she should not blush.
Later, Gayle apologised for his comments, saying that he had no intention of being disrespectful and added that he didn't mean to hurt her.
