Kevin Pietersen may never get to wear an England jersey again but flamboyant batsman has not lost his sense of humour.
The highest scorer for England, KP lambasted the England and Wales Cricket Board on Wednesday, saying he felt betrayed by what he described as ‘deceitful’ behaviour by the England management.
On Wednesday morning, Pietersen, in a sarcastic mood made a snide comment on Twitter.
“Morning all, after a pretty bad day yesterday I've given it a lot of thought overnight. I'm applying for the coaching job! #StraussLogic”, KP wrote.
Pietersen, 34, England's leading all-time run-scorer, was sent into international exile last year following the team's 5-0 Ashes thrashing in Australia.
But he was given hope of an international recall when new ECB chairman Colin Graves said there could be a way back if he scored enough runs in county cricket.
Hours after he made his maiden first-class triple century for Surrey on Tuesday, Pietersen was told by Strauss there was no prospect of him being selected by England in the immediate future, practically ending hopes of a revival of Pietersen's international career.
