Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Sami will join English first division county Kent after the conclusion of the one-day series in England.

A Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman confirmed that the 22-year-old had been given permission to play for Kent in July and August.

"He had sought permission from the board before leaving for England with the Pakistan team," PCB general manager of cricket operations Zakir Khan said.

"We

have no objections to his playing for Kent when he is not required by the senior team.

"Since the tournament in Tangiers scheduled from August 4 to 14 has now been postponed, Sami has been given permission to play for Kent on a two-month contract," he added.

The PCB media manager Samiul Hasan said that Sami would join Kent after their final one day match against England at Lord's on June 22.
